Why we built this, and how we pick who goes on it
Homes by GemzOnline exists because shopping for a tiny home or an ADU usually means digging through a dozen builder websites, each one only telling you about itself. We wanted one place that lays out real builders, real price ranges, and real differences side by side, so you can figure out what actually fits your situation before you start making calls.
This site is run by GemzOnline. It’s independently operated, not owned by or affiliated with any of the builders listed here.
How we choose builders
We don’t list every builder that asks to be included. Before a builder gets a spotlight page, we go through the same process for each one:
- Check the license requirement. If a program requires the referrer to hold a real estate or contractor license, we don’t list it. Recommending real estate transactions without a license is a legal risk we’re not willing to put on our readers or ourselves.
- Read what they actually sell. Finished home, ADU, or house plans, these are different products for different buyers, and we write each spotlight around what’s actually being sold, not a generic template.
- Pull real details from their own site. Model names, materials, sizes, and process details come directly from the builder’s own pages. Where they don’t publish something, like exact pricing, we say so instead of guessing.
- Confirm there’s enough substance to be useful. If we can’t find enough real detail, track record, or reputation to write something genuinely useful for a buyer, we leave the builder off rather than pad out a thin, generic page.
How this site makes money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy from a builder after clicking through from here, we may earn a commission or referral fee, at no extra cost to you. This doesn’t change what we write: our editorial content is built before any affiliate link is approved, and we don’t let a higher commission move a builder up the page. If a page’s affiliate link isn’t live yet, we say so directly rather than dress up a placeholder as something it isn’t.
